Our Fairy Tale Salon series are online and interactive events (conducted via Zoom) during which you’ll get a chance to meet contemporary authors, editors, and illustrators who love fairy tales as much as you do! Each salon includes readings, an interview, an opportunity for you to ask our special guest questions, and a writing game! Come … join us in the land of faerie!

9/10 OCTOBER 2020: Meet Kathleen Jennings

Kathleen Jennings is an illustrator and writer based in Australia. As an illustrator, she has been shortlisted four times for the World Fantasy Awards, once for the Hugos, and once for the Locus Awards, as well as winning a number of Ditmars. As a writer, she has won two Ditmars and been shortlisted for the Eugie Foster Memorial Award and for several Aurealis Awards.

Tahlia Kirk is the creator and editor of Timeless Tales Magazine. Her mission is to breathe new life into the classics by publishing experimental retellings of fairy tales and myths.

4/5 December 2020: Meet Award-Winning Authors LISA KRÖGER & MELANIE R. ANDERSON

Lisa Kröger & Melanie R. Anderson, are the award-winning authors of the critically-acclaimed book Monster, She Wrote: The Women Who Pioneered Horror & Speculative Fiction, which received the 2019 Bram Stoker Award® Winner for Superior Achievement in Non-Fiction, the 2020 Locus Award Winner for Non-Fiction, and was a 2019 Booklist Editors’ Choice in Arts and Literature.

The Storied Imaginarium courses are intensive and illuminating. I’m impressed with Carina’s extensive knowledge of myth and fairy tales, as well as her insightful and kind critique. Plus, there’s lots of writing involved. Highly recommend!
