If you are looking for entertainment and inspiration as we head into winter, the upcoming November fairy tale salon and our December special session have you covered. Best of all, if you sign up for the virtual fairy tale salon in November, you will receive a #free seat at the special ghost story presentation in December.
It doesn’t get much better than that.
On the first Friday (Saturday morning in Australia) in November (6-8 pm Central Time), The Storied Imaginarium welcomes fairy tale enthusiast and Timeless Tales publisher Tahlia Kirk for a two-hour fairy tale salon. (The virtual event will be held on zoom.) Participants will learn about the other side of the writing process including the reasons behind publishing decisions and ways to catch an editor’s eye. Timeless Tales is currently open for fiction and poetry submissions for the upcoming themed issue 1001 Tales of Arabian Nights. The interactive salon features a discussion, readings, a Q&A session, and a writing game.
On the first Friday of December (Saturday in Australia), The Storied Imaginarium will be hosting award-winning authors authors Lisa Kröger & Melanie R. Anderson in a one-hour special session (7-8 pm Central Time) on Christmas ghost stories and the Victorian & Edwardian who wrote them. (The virtual event will be held on zoom.) Lisa and Melanie will be discussing their award-winning book Monster: She Wrote: The Women Who Pioneered Horror & Speculative Fiction. A signed copy of this comprehensive collection will be raffled off to one of the attendees. Lisa and Melanie are co-hosts of the Know Fear Cast. They are also the forces behind The Monster She Wrote Podcast.
Participants of the November salon with Tahlia Kirk will be offered seats at the December special session. Mid-November, any remaining seats will be offered on a first-come first serve basis.
